Developing Next-Generation Strengths and Distinctive Fields

Fostering Cutting-Edge Research Across Diverse Areas

By promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and emerging research, the university aims to further advance Y-PEAKS, a research cluster composed of multiple areas of strength at University of Yamanashi. Through the following projects, research fields that are expected to become flagship areas of the university in the next 5–10 years will be cultivated.

Advanced Research Enhancement Project – Y-PEAKS Emerging

This project supports research groups that build upon emerging research areas and further develop them through interdisciplinary collaboration. Within five years, the goal is to establish one of Japan’s leading research hubs, positioning these fields as representative strengths of the university. Through the acquisition of external funding, the program also aims to enable the sustainable operation and growth of these research organizations and hubs.
